Touch Sensitive – Burnt Island and La Muñeca de Sal

Touch Sensitive is a project created to promote music from Scotland and Spain.  On Friday the 8th June they release their first of three compilations.  Titled ‘2×6‘ it features Chaffinch associates Burnt Island and La Muñeca de Sal.

Chaffinch Week at Avalanche Records – 21st February 2011

Avalanche Records have built up an outstanding reputation over 27 years and in particular have shown an enthusiasm and commitment to Scottish artists and labels.

Chaffinch are chuffed to bits to be asked by them to take part in a Scottish label week. This begins on Monday 21st February and concludes on Saturday 26th February, at 3pm with an in-store session by Burnt Island.

Also available will be a 10-track Chaffinch CD compilation titled ‘Woodlands‘ featuring exclusive material from Burnt Island, The Second Hand Marching Band, Immigrant and South Downs. Avalanche Records, 5 Grassmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2HY.

Burnt Island – Music and Maths. SOLD OUT!

We’re thrilled to announce that Chaffinch have sold out of Burnt Island’s Music and Maths mini-album. There are still a few copies floating around at Avalanche, Norman Records etc so if you want one, you’ll need to be quick. Burnt Island at the Edinburgh Festival 2010

Burnt Island will be performing at Highland Park Spiegeltent as part of the Edinburgh International Book Festival.  Also playing are Chemikal Underground’s Adrian Crowley and a VERY special guest who has still to be announced.This takes place on Monday, 30 August 2010 at Charlotte Square Gardens in Edinburgh.  You can purchase tickets here.
